Hotel Pakrac

The original building, which was built for residential and commercial purposes, was constructed way back in 1781 under the name Velika Gostionica. In 1886, at the suggestion of one of the councilors of the Pakrac Trade Representative, Ljudevit Stein, it was renamed Hotel Pakrac. Located along the main road opposite the Great Bridge and the main entrance to the city, the hotel was a place that welcomed travelers from all over the world. The current Hotel Pakrac was built in 1871 on the site of a former hotel, and the hotel garden was probably created a little later, and the chestnut trees were planted in 1885. During renovation works on the hotel building, the trees that were damaged during the were removed. In addition to the hotel, its famous garden is also legendary where widely known concerts and dances were held.

The frieze of the Eclectic building features a lot of air vents, which are embellished with a . Another rosette can be seen above the second floor, which interrupts a rectangular fragment that's lavishly adorned with even more floral decorations. The first floor is built up with loads of stone blocks, of which the that are placed on top of the first floor windows are also part.
