Craftsman House

The three-story building, which was originally built for the Žilina Chamber of Industry, was put into operation on August 20, 1910, and became a center of crafts and trade. Later on, the building received the name Craftsman's House, named after the Hungarian Minister of Public Works and Transport. From 1925, the Craftsmen's Association was based in the building, and after 1948, an Apprentice School, from 1960 a Secondary Industrial Construction School, from the school year 1979 until 1992 the Žilina Conservatory and after that the Business Academy of Saint Thomas Aquinas were located in the building.

The two that can be seen on top of two corners of the Art Nouveau building are topped with a down that's topped with a , the same as the one used on the pyramid hip roof. The top gable of the northern facade features a statue that depicts Gábor Baross, and on this side you can also admire two bas reliefs including seventeen figures symbolizing different crafts. On this same side, you can also see an , which states the name of the building. The building is also decorated with all kinds of geometric shapes, as well as various decorative bands that are embellished with an motif and , among other things.
