The current four-story building, which was originally built for commercial purposes, was constructed between 1904 and 1905. The project was developed in 1904 by the builder and architect Karl Heller together with the Austrian architect . The building was built on the site of a smaller four-story Baroque building, which was named Drei Stufen. The current building was built by the Nastopil brothers, who specialized in men's clothing and owned a linen factory in . They opened a business palace with a spacious shopping gallery on two floors. On the floor above the shop, there was a fashion factory and a factory for tailoring clothes.

The southeastern corner of the Art Nouveau building is determined by a , which is covered with a bell-shaped dome that features a and various . The top of the turret, which is supported by two spherical , contains several crowned with a Doric . To the left of the , which is located on the south side, are three balconies, all supported by two corbels adorned with foliage. Two of the balconies are secured with a beautifully decorated wrought iron railing and the other one with a stone balustrade that contains . The on top of the oriel window contains a statue of the Greek god holding a . The oriel window is lavishly embellished with , floral decorations, , and , including one that depicts Hermes. In addition, you can also see , , , and , which were also used elsewhere to embellish the building.
