Mozart House

The four-story building, which houses both residential and commercial premises, was first mentioned in 1756 as the Drei Rote Rosen. The reconstruction, which created the current look of the building, took place around 1868. Who designed the building plans and who carried out the reconstruction is not known, but it's assumed that it was the work of the local builder Johann Voigt. Between 1785 and 1823, the German poet stayed in Karlsbad, nowadays Karlovy Vary, many times, and during these visits, he also stayed in this building, which later was named after the Austrian composer .

The attic of the building, which is a mix of Romanticism and Historicism, features various dormers of which the two largest ones are topped with a pointed in which a gilded is placed. Many of the ornaments are gilded, including a large part of the , the in which either a lion head , a , or another rosette is placed, but also the Corinthian that crown some of the . The building also containsa gilded stating the building, as well as a gilded head of Mozart and gilded musical notes, the latter of which are incorporated into the beautiful railing of the central balcony which also features .
