Abut Halbuni House

The residential and commercial building, which was built in 1906, was designed by the architect Gero Gerov. It belonged to the Egyptian merchant Abut Halbuni and was designed as his residential building. At the request of the investor, it is designed in Arabic and Moorish style. It was also known among the old people of Varna as a Greek club or the Arab confectionery. The building also housed the former Balkan Bank for some time.

The building is built in the Eclectic style, featuring some Arabic and Moorish elements. These features can be seen in the beautifully decorated , which are supported by three . On the first floor, you can see two more pilasters that flank the main entrance door, which contain a diagonal relief. The main entrance itself is flanked by two beautifully decorated , a feature that can be seen at many other places as well.
