Marinka Hristo Popova House

The residential building, which was built in 1914, was built for Marinka Hristo Popova. The building was built according to the design of the Bulgarian architect Manol Yordanov. One of the renovations took place exactly 85 years after the construction, as can be seen in the fragments located in the top gables showing the construction year and the renovation year 1999.

The most eye-catching features of the Art Nouveau building are the two . They are placed at a 45 degree angle in relation to the facade and two supportive pyramid-shaped give the oriel window a harmonious connection with the walls below them. A balcony is placed above each of the oriel windows, each secured with a cast iron railing. Above the balcony door, you'll see an ornamental shield, which is surrounded by twigs.

On the other parts of the building, you'll see a lot of geometric shapes and forms, like squares, circles, and . Above the windows, you can see three different kinds of , straight, segmental, and pointed. A decorative garland wreath is placed between the two pointed pediments.
