Danail Manov House

In 1899, on the site of today's building a building was erected, owned by the famous vine grower and merchant Danail Manov. In addition to the residential part where he lived, it included an inn, a pub, and a grocery store. In 1924 due to the expansion of the Slivnitsa Boulevard the building was demolished. In 1925 the current building was erected by a project of the Bulgarian architect . The author of the sculptures is the famous Bulgarian master sculptor .

Danail Manov wished that the Greek columns from the entrance of the old building be moved and placed at the entrance of the new one. The new restaurant and brewery that were housed in the new building were named after its owner Danail Manov. From 1934 until 1948 it was called Sea Eye and from 1948 Sevastopol.

On the top corner of the Eclectic building, you can see a sculptural composition of a man, woman, and child, as well as the inscription ДАНАИЛЪ МАНОВЪ (Danail Manov) and the construction year 1925. Within the two top gables on the southern and eastern sides of the building, there are two more sculptural compositions. In this case, a sculpture of a male and female figure kneeling on a column that is crowned with a Doric . In the center of it, you can see an ornament consisting of geometric forms. The roof underneath it is adorned with pretty wide . Above and underneath some of the windows you can see some more geometric ornaments. The balconies on the southern side of the building are the same as the ones on the corners with the only exceptions in size and shape. The columns that are located on the first floor are crowned with Ionic capitals.
