Former Girls' Handicraft-Practical School

The educational building was built in 1900 according to a design that was created by the French architect . The building was constructed for the Girls' Handicraft-Practical School, which opened its doors to its students on November 19, 1900. The Women's Charitable Society named Mother, which was founded in 1888, commissioned the construction, aims to support poor widows, orphans, and able schoolgirls from poor families, opening and supporting an orphanage and a school. One of the donors of the society was Princess of Bourbon-Parma, the wife of Prince .

In 1914, it was extended with a second floor and the completed building was electrified. In 1932, a school hall was built with a stage in the courtyard, and 5 years later two more classrooms were added. In 1934, the three-year training course became five years and the curriculum was expanded and new subjects are introduced. The new subjects were the Bulgarian language, accounting with calculation, commercial correspondence, professional legislation, cooking, history of clothing, gymnastics, and singing. In 1939, the 50th anniversary of the society and the 42nd anniversary of the school were officially celebrated. Several times the school took part in the sample exhibition in the city of Varna with samples of the school work, as well as in and in .
