Zheko Genov House

The construction of the residential and commercial building started in 1906 and was completed in 1907. The design of the building came from the hand of the Bulgarian architect . It was built for the wealthy Bulgarian fabric manufacturer and merchant Zheko Genov. He was one of the five Genov brothers, of which the others were Geno, Kostantin, Hristo, and Georgi, who all became wealthy fabric manufacturers and merchants.

The Art Nouveau building contains a lot of geometric forms. On top of the south side of the building, there's a circular placed within the segmental cornice. Above the circle top window, you can see an arch that is built up of separate segments, which on each side ends with . Underneath it, you can see a small balcony, supported by two , and secured with a cast iron railing. The balcony door is flanked by two round shaped with Corinthian on top of them. Between the two corbels, you'll see a fragment that's decorated with geometric ornamentation. One floor down there's another balcony, but this one is a bit bigger and has a stone balustrade, which contains . The corbels underneath the balcony both end in a beautiful geometric ornament. The above the main entrance door is decorated with foliage. A geometrically decorated is placed underneath each of the windows. At some places, just above and underneath the roof , there are some more geometric ornaments to be seen.
