Radka Hadjikuneva House

The construction of the residential and commercial building was finished in 1908 and was built for Radka Hadjikuneva. The design of the building was made by the Bulgarian architect . Some renovations and reconstructions took place in 1928 and 1938.

The building once served as the French consulate. The opening of the first French consulate in Varna took place in the year 1802. The first French consulate in Bulgaria was the result of 's attempts by France to penetrate the Black Sea region and set up a consular network.

The Art Nouveau building is beautifully decorated with geometric forms. The roof overhang is supported by wooden and in between them you can see a square with cut out corners with a circle in the center of it. A little more down you see some fragments decorated with , of which the middle one is bigger than the other two. Another fragment is placed on one of the that are also adorned with guttae and circles. The rectangular shaped underneath the windows on the second floor got two squares stuck to them. Three of the same sized square can be seen between the reliefs. If you look slightly down, you will see more squares, which are adorned with circles. The aprons underneath the windows on the first floor are built up by multiple rectangles.

On the west side of the building, there's an entrance that is covered by an , which is supported by two cast iron corbels. On the east side of the building, there's a glass canopy that leads to another entrance. Above this entrance door, you can see a balcony that's secured with a stone balustrade that's also decorated with geometric forms.
