Dimitar Lyutskanov House

The construction of the residential building was completed in 1911 and was most likely built by a project of the architect Vasil Roglev. It was built for the manufacturer Dimitar Lyutskanov, who had a knitting factory for socks in Ruse, which was founded in 1899. The factory is supported by the state, according to the then Law on the Promotion of Industry, and imported duty-free wool and cotton yarn. In 1920, Dimitar Lyutskanov bought shares in the newly established Commercial and Industrial Company, United Companies.

The building is built in the style of Art Nouveau, which can be seen in the use of the many whiplash lines and natural geometric forms. The balcony on the south side of the building is supported by two and is secured with a stone balustrade. The underneath one of the windows is decorated with a total of ten . On the west side of the building, you can admire a richly decorated containing the construction year 1911 and the initials Д.Л. (D.L.). The wrought iron above the main entrance door is beautifully decorated. The staircase that leads to the main entrance door contains the same design as the balustrade of the balcony.
