Ivan Katsarov House

- Stefan Stambolov Street 52 -
The residential and commercial building was built for Ivan Katsarov. It's unknown for which Ivan Katsarov it was built exactly. The construction year is also unknown, but by the looks of the building, it must have been built somewhereat the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century.

The building is located in the historical neighborhood Draz, which has been a center of crafts, workshops, shops, and markets. The Draz neighborhood was located on the outskirts of the still very small town, but along the busy road to it, which was favorable for trade. In the 17th century, Jewish and Armenian immigrants, Bulgarian farmers, millers, and shepherds preferred to be away from power, so life in this neighborhood was more colorful.
