Stefan Gadev House

- Alexandrovska Street 77 -
The commercial building was built in 1907 and was designed by the engineer Todor Tonev, who realized a unique construction solution for his time, in which the salon of the brewery was made without supporting columns. It was built by the entrepreneur Stefan Gadev and was used as a brewery known by the name Crystal. Years later it became the House of the Reserve Army and in 1926 the new tenant opened the restaurant called Preslavski. In the 1940s, Ivan Markov opened one of the most prestigious restaurants in Ruse in the building, which was known for its good cuisine. In the years that followed, a number of other restaurants opened their doors, including KOOP and Bolgar.
