Stoil Stanev House

The residential and commercial building was built in 1886 by a project of the architect Spiros Valsamaki. An upgrade took place in 1912 according to a project of the Bulgarian architect Todor Petrov. It was built for the Bulgarian public figure, financier, entrepreneur, and teacher Stoil Stanev, who was born in Ruse in 1876. He studied political economy in and received a doctorate in economics from the University of .

In 1897 he founded the First Bulgarian Knitting Factory in Ruse and was a procurator of the Bulgarian Commercial Bank. He is engaged in the purchase and sale of securities. From 1903 to 1912 he was a teacher at the German Trade School in Ruse. He was one of the first Social Democrats in Ruse and secretary of the Bulgarian Workers' Social Democratic Party in 1896. After its split in 1903 at a congress in Ruse, Stoil Stanev remained a broad socialist. He was married to Mika Stoyanova and together they had a son.

The Dutch gable of the Neo-Classical building is decorated with a broken segmental , as well as two and four that are crowned with Doric . The three windows underneath this gable are also flanked by four pilasters, which are also crowned with Doric capitals. Above the windows, you can see three , one of which is embellished with a garland wreath. Underneath the windows, you'll be able to see a balcony that's secured with a wrought and cast iron railing. The two other windows that can be seen on the second floor are also flanked by two pilasters with Doric capitals. Above the windows, in the segmental pediment, you can see a flower like ornament, and underneath the windows a , which contains seven .
