Andre Turio House

The residential building was built in 1902, under the supervision of the Bulgarian engineer Georgi Chavov, under by a project of the Polish architect Edwin Petriczky. It was built for the French entrepreneur Andre Turio, who was born in in 1839 and settled in Ruse around 1865. After the , he bought large plots of land and became a major entrepreneur. In 1886, together with the Papamanoli brothers, he bought the mill of the Ruse municipality. In 1890 he sold to the municipality 15 decares of land for the formation of the central city garden. All four of his children received a French education, and his only son, Andrei, also studied at the university. He died on May 25, 1918, in Ruse.

On top of the Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Classical building, you'll be able to see a small dormer, which is topped with a pointed and a globe. The roof is adorned with a strip of and is supported by four . These corbels can be seen above the that are crowned with Corinthian . A pointed pediment is placed above two of the windows on the second floor and underneath it, you can see a , which is adorned with . Above the other one, you'll be able to see a segmental pediment, which is embellished with a lavishly decorated female sculpture. Underneath this window, you'll be able to see a balcony that's supported by two corbels and is secured with a beautiful curved wrought iron railing. A monogram with the construction year is placed underneath the balcony. On the same level, you can see four richly decorated , which are adorned with pinecones, foliage and a . The lovely wood carved door is adorned with broken pointed pediments, as well as wrought iron barred windows.
