Nikoghos and Mariam Bedrosyan House

The residential building was built for and designed by the Armenian architect . It was built in 1987 as a wedding gift for his young wife Mariam and was funded by the funds he received for the design of the Simeonov Brothers Bank. The Bedrosyan family lived in this house until 1901.

Between 1906 and 1908 the house became the Turkish Consulate and after 1908 it became a private clinic of doctors Petkovic and Astrug. Around 1939 the building became a hat factory for the brothers Ivan and Stefan Yosifov, and after 1948, it became a student dormitory. After the 1977 earthquake, it was uninhabited and abandoned, and in 1989 it was burnt down by a fire and only its facade remains.

The building is built in the styles of Neo-Baroque and Neo-Renaissance. The mansard roof contains a total of three dormers, one of which is located in a dome like structure. The bottom of the roof is adorned with an motif and the cornice between the third and second floor is adorned with foliage. In three places this cornice got interrupted by a small fragment that is embellished with a . Underneath these fragments, you'll be able to see a that's crowned with a Corinthian . A richly decorated mascaron, as well as a , is placed above the three windows. Underneath two of these windows you can see a balcony with a stone balustrade, which is adorned with floral ornamentation, as well as a . Underneath the balconies, you'll see a , as well as two beautiful supportive . In between these two windows you can see another mascaron that's placed within a frame, which gives it a painting like feeling. Around and above the main entrance door you'll see another mascaron and some rosettes, as well as a laurel wreath with ribbons, an motif, and even a small carved into the stone.
