Vladimir Igov House

The residential and commercial building was built in 1912 by Stoyan Igov and was inhabited by one of his relatives, Vladimir Igov. The initials of Stoyan Igov, С.И. (S.I.), can be seen in one of the above the central window on the second floor. Stoyan Igov was a refugee from Macedonia who constructed many buildings in the capital Sofia. The first floor was used over the years as a hairdresser, a paint shop, and a toy store. During the last renovation, the color of the building changed from a white beige color to a chestnut brown color.

The building was built in the Neo-Baroque style with some Art Nouveau elements. You can see a clover shaped window within the pointed gable surrounded by and . Underneath it, there's a that runs around the entire building and shapes itself to the cartouches it encounters. Between this cornice and the roof cornice, you'll be able to see some . The cartouches above the windows on the second, as well as the third floor, are flanked by foliage. The cartouches on the second floor are adorned with a female wearing a pearl necklace. A lot more cartouches can be admired in the on the second floor, as well as on the , which are even adorned with decorative shells. The northern side of the building contains two balconies, both secured with a cast iron railing and supported by two . The ones on the second floor are decorated with lion head , volutes, and .
