Shokryu Ahmedov Tradehouse

The construction of the administrative and commercial building, which was built for the entrepreneur Shokryu Ahmedov, starts in 1890 and goes through several stages until it was finally completed in 1912. By 1893 the first floor was completed according to the project of architect Spiros Valsamaki. The construction of the entire second floor and the tower like structure was completed in 1912 according to the project of architect Stefan Yonkov.

During the rise of the company of Sarkis Kuyumjian he merged all the shops from this building, into its neighboring building. In the 1920s, the offices of the Labor Inspectorate were located on the second floor and the first floor was in use by the Bulgarian Bank Saedinenie and shops for auto parts and radios. Later, the factory for straw and cloth men's hats of the brothers Stefan and Ivan Yosifov was housed in the building.
