Stefan Simeonov House

The residential building was built in 1892 by a project of the Viennese architect Ludwig Meyer together with the engineer Eduard Winter. All of the building materials were imported from abroad. It was built for the banker Stefan Simeonov, who was born in in 1858. He graduated from the trade school in , where he met his future wife Luksa. After the wedding, Stefan and Luksa came to Ruse and soon became the owner of Skiya and the public elite of the city. Together they had one son Vladimir and three daughters, Olga, Milka, and Evgenia. The prominent and deserving Ruse resident Stefan Simeonov died in 1908 at the age of 50. After the nationalization in 1944 of private property, the house was used as a reception for guests of the Municipality of Ruse.

The most eye-catching feature of the Neo-Baroque and Neo-Renaissance building is the tower like structure with a on top of it, which is located on the west side of the building. Also, the huge that covers the main entrance is worth mentioning. The dormers that can be seen within the mansard roof are different in size and style. On top of the mansard roof, you'll be able to see that give the building a majestic touch. A strip of is placed underneath the roof , as well as a cornice that's adorned with foliage.

On top of each window, you'll see a straight , while above the entrance on the south side you'll see a pointed pediment, which is adorned with floral ornamentation.
