Ivan Mishanov House

The residential building was built in 1897 and was designed by the Armenian architect . It was built for the merchant Ivan Mishanov, who was born in and was the brother of Pencho and Georgi Mishanov. At the end of the 19th century, Ivan settled permanently in Ruse due to the favorable economic conditions offered by the city. Together with his two brothers, he opened a trading company called the Brothers Mishanov. Ivan Mishanov was married to Anna and they were known to be big donors to orphanages, hospitals, and churches.

In 2019, the building underwent a renovation where the color of the building changed from gray to pink.

The Neo-Baroque building is decorated with a lot of floral ornamentation. This can be seen in the fence that protects the property, as well as the balcony railing and some . Above the balcony door, you'll see a , which is surrounded by floral ornaments and is adorned with a small female statue. If you look a bit further up, you'll see a broken segmental . The pointed pediments above the windows on the first floor are supported by and are embellished with two laying . On the north side of the building, there's another entrance, with above it a beautiful ornament, as well as a small balcony.
