Moses Family House

- General Gurko Street 10 -
The residential and commercial building was built for the Moses family and its construction was completed in 1892. It was built according to the plan of architect Spiros Valsamaki and was approved by the Austrian engineer Eduard Winter and the district engineer Todor Tonev. The Moses family was the owner of a book warehouse and a printing house called Knyaz Boris, which was located at the beginning of Aleksandrovska Street.

In 1939, the industrialist Peretz Pizanti and his son Mario Pizanti, donated the property to the Bulgarian Red Cross, in memory of their wife and mother, Eliza Pizanti. For their generosity, the donors were awarded by Tsar with the Order of Philanthropists 3rd degree, and the Supreme Committee of the Bulgarian Red Cross awarded them with the Grand Cross of the Society. The Supreme Committee of the Bulgarian Red Cross accepts the donation and instructs the Ruse branch of the company to set up a maternity home on the donated property, intended primarily for poor women in labor.

After the nationalization, the house was used as a dispensary of the Ruse Hospital and later as a restaurant.
