Ivan Sarafov House

The residential building was built in 1922 and was built for the Bulgarian Major General Ivan Konstantinov Sarafov. He was born on March 23, 1856, in Tarnovo, nowadays . He is the brother of the politician and the doctor . He graduated from the Tarnovo Class School and a High School in . He was a participant in the , , the as well as the . Ivan Sarafov died in Sofia on November 25, 1935, at the age of 79.

The building was built in the style of Art Nouveau and features some nice rounded corners, that can be seen while viewing the southern side of the building. The most eye-catching feature on the eastern side of the building is the rectangular that's supported by two simple triangular . In the top gable of the oriel window, you can see the inscriptions 1922 and Р.И.С. (R.I.S.), which are the initials of Ivan Sarafov. Around the entire building, decorative can be seen, some of them contain friezes, line motifs, or are square dashed. Before the renovation, some of these cornices were golden yellow colored. On the first floor, you can see some squares and rectangles that are adorned with the technique of , which used to be red-colored before the renovation. On the southern side of the building, there's a bay window that has a wooden balcony on top of it.
