Filip Vazharov House

The building was built with a residential and commercial purpose somehwere at the and of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. It was built for Filip Vazharov, and was later bought by Petar Shipkov. The administrative and technical offices of the Cooperative Association Svetlina, which was founded on May 31, 1923, was housed on the first floor. The association was established for the production and distribution of electrical energy. For financial reasons, the association was unable to build its own power plant. Collective members of the company are the Municipality of Burgas and the District Council. They take out loans and organize the construction of an electrical network for low and high voltage in the city. In 1927, they concluded a contract with the company called Budeshte for the supply of electrical energy from the power plant at the Black Sea mine. The cooperative sells electricity to citizens and maintains the grid.
