Burgas District Administration Building

The administrative building, which was built in 1927, was orginally built for the needs of the Burgas Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Burgas Commodity Exchange. It was constructed according to a project made by the architects and , who at that time were working in . The fresco and wall painting in the halls were done by professors and artists and from Sofia.
The building during the construction
The Burgas Chamber of Commerce and Industry was housed in the building until 1946 and in 1991 it became the seat of the Regional Governor. On February 7, 1878, with the help of the Russian command, the first Bulgarian municipal administration was appointed in Burgas with the first Mayor .

On top, located on the west side of the Eclectic building, you can see an shield shaped , which contains a and is surrounded by a statue of a male and female figure. The same shield shaped cartouche is placed above the two entrances. The cornice underneath the group of statues is supported by a lot of huge . A bit further down, you'll be able to admire five . One of the medallions contains wheat, which is a symbol of fertility and life, and the one next to it you can see a gear and anvil, which symbolizes hard labor. The central medallion contains the Greek god , which is the patron of trade and culture. The other two medallions contain a drawing compass, which is often used as a symbol of precision and discernment and the other one contains a ship, a symbol of trade. Underneath the windows, you can either see a balcony that's supported by two corbels, or a , both containing the same . Above the two entrances, you can see a straight , and around it you can see some stone blocks that are adorned with the technique of , plus a frame that's adorned with floral ornamentation.
