Former Hotel Bulevard

The construction of the building, which was built as a hotel, started in 1920 and was completed in 1921. It was built for the merchant and hotelier Stefan Chakarov, by a project of the first female architect of Bulgaria, . Over the years the building has fundamentally changed a lot, loosing a significant part of its interior. The facade, with the exception of the first floor have been preserved. In addition to the hotel, it served as an administration for the needs of the Ministry of the Interior. In 2015 a renovation took place, which restored the facade to its original form.

The symmetrical building, which is built in the styles of Eclectic and Art Nouveau, features a total of two female . The one on the corner is flanked by a and the other one, which is located on the east side of the building, is placed within the segmental . The building also contains a lot of plastered fragments that are embellished with floral and geometric motifs. A is placed on the semi-hexagonal , which contains of cupid. The balcony on top of the oriel windows contains the same railing as the three balconies on the east side of the building. At some places the , between the third and fourth floor, is adorned with . The building features three different shaped pairs of , one of which is decorated with foliage.
