Hristo Boyadzhiev House

The residential building, which was built somewhere between 1900 and 1905, was bought in 1908 by the Bulgarian lawyer Hristo Ivanov Boyadzhiev. He was born in the town of and graduated in law in the first graduating class of the Faculty of Law at the Sofia University. After he returned to his hometown where the Czechs built sugar factories, he became their lawyer and served them until the coup of , 1944. He was also the creator of the first insurance company in , as well as the owner of a company called Mizia and co-owner of the Popular Bank.

For a long time, Hristo and his first wife tried to have a child but failed. Deeply in love with her husband and suffering from not being able to give him an heir, his wife committed suicide. Later he married the daughter of the mayor of , after which they moved to Sofia. Together they had a son and a daughter named Maria, who graduated in , and got married to architect and art history teacher . His son inherited his father's profession and became a lawyer.

The most striking part of the Eclectic building is the wooden , which is placed on top of the central bay window. The roof overhang of both the loggia and the rest of the building is supported by wooden . The that's adorned with rectangular shapes runs perfectly along the segmental part of the second floor windows. Underneath these same windows, you'll be able to see an , which is decorated with a total of eight . The that can be seen on the first floor are decorated with the technique of .
