Former Bulgarian Credit Bank

The construction of the residential and commercial building started in 1913 and was completed in 1914. The construction was commissioned by Tsviatko Karshev and was built according to a project of the Bulgarian architect Georgi Stoyanov from , who worked for some time in the city of Burgas before the .

The first floor was designed for the needs of the former Bulgarian Credit Bank, which was established in in 1905 with German capital. For most of its existence, it was the largest bank in the country with mostly private capital. The Bulgarian Credit Bank continued to be an economic pillar of the country even in the difficult years of the , until on December 23, 1947, it was nationalized by the communist authorities. As a bank operating with German capital, it became Soviet property in accordance with the of 1947. Later, the Soviet Union returned it to Bulgaria and it was merged into the Bulgarian National Bank.

The building, which is built in the Eclectic style, also contains some Neo-Baroque elements. What immediately catches the attention is the on the northeastern corner, which is crowned with a bell shaped dome. The scaly sheet mansard roof contains a total of four dormers, all of which are crowned with a pointed . Within the pediment you can see a , which is surrounded by floral ornaments. The other parts of the dormers are embellished with a , as well as .
