Georgi Boyadzhiev House

The residential building, which was built in 1910, was designed by the Italian architect together with the Bulgarian architect . The construction was commissioned by the Bulgarian merchant and grain exporter Georgi Boyadzhiev. He is the first owner together with his young wife Stamata Zhelezova. They have a distinguished history not only of being a respected merchant with an education in but also engaged in public activities, uncliding Red Cross volunteers, for which they were awarded by Princess of Bourbon-Orléans. The house was also inhabited by Georgi's daughter Ivanka Boyadzhieva-Karadzhova and her husband the conductor, composer, performer, teacher, and musician, Dimitar Ivanov Karadzov. Ivanka studied piano in and after her return to Burgas became a piano teacher.
Georgi Boyadzhiev
Dimitar, who was born on December 8, 1902, in , graduated from the State Academy of Music in 1928. From 1935 until 1953, he was the director of the Burgas Music School, and at the same time, he conducted the amateur symphony orchestra of the local music society. During this same time, he performed as a flutist in Burgas and some surrounding towns. Since 1953, he has been successively a conductor at the Pioneer House in Burgas, a methodist in musical artistic self-activity in the local methodical cabinet and a teacher at the Teachers' Institute and the Burgas State Music School. He is the author of symphonic music, in which he follows the traditions of folk genre symphonism.
Dimitar Ivanov Karadzov
The roof of the symmetrical Art Nouveau building is covered with roof tiles and the central part is crowned with a . The roof overhang is at many parts supported with beautifully decorated wooden . Between some of these corbels, you'll be able to see a decorative . Even more rosettes can be seen above the , as well as underneath some corbels, where you can also see some and geometric forms. A fragment is placed underneath two of the dormer windows, which are both decorated with diamond shapes. The balcony that's located above the main entrance door, is supported by two wooden corbels and secured with a wooden railing. The banister of the double stairs that lead to the terrace that gains access to the main entrance, is embellished with and other geometric forms.
