Atilio Tekela House

The residential building, which later also gained some commercial functions, was constructed in 1900. It was built for the Italian Attilio Tekela, who was the deputy director of the Archaeological Museum in and the first who explored settlement of Jendem Tepe. He was is mainly interested in antiquity and has not left detailed records of the prehistoric finds that date the prehistoric settlement. The building was also inhabited by his sons, including Giuliano Tekela who was the Italian consul in the city of Burgas, and later headed the Italian steamship agency called Sitmar.

Above the second floor windows of the Neo-Baroque building, you can either see a pointed or a segmental . Almost all pediments are inlaid with a sphere, except the broken segmental pediment. The balcony on the eastern side of the building is secured with a beautiful wrought iron railing that contains the initials М.Н. (M.N.). The balcony is supported by two , which are lavishly decorated with . The that flank the balcony door are both crowned with a Corinthian . The protruded blocks of the pilasters, which are located on the first floor, give the building a nice multidimensional touch. The frame that's place around the entrance, which is located underneath the balcony, is adorned with a total of three . The wrought iron fencing, as well as the barred windows on the first floor, are also lavishly decorated with volutes.
