Nisim Hasson House

- Bulevard Aleko Bogoridi 18 -
The two residential and commercial buildings are both built for the wealthy cloth merchant Nisim Hasson, a well known figure in the Jewish community. The first building, which is located at Bogoridi Street 18 was built in 1891 and the second one, which is located at number 20 was built in 1897. After the death of Nasim, he left both buildings to his son Marko, but they didn't stay in the family. After 1990, the first floor was bought by a Turk who turned it into a Turkish restaurant. Later it turned into a bakery, and in more recent time it became a clothing store.

Both buildings are built in the style of Eclectic and are also pretty simular in ornamentation. Both buildings feature rectangular , which are either supported by columns that are crowned with Ionic , or two that are adorned with and foliage. Some of the frames of the windows on the second floor, are also adorned with acanthus foliage. The window sills of the windows on the second floor are supported by two small corbels. On the same floor, you can see some that are all crowned with a Doric capital. Above the main entrance door of the building located at number 18, you can admire a wrought iron bared window, which contains the construction year 1891.
