Stefan Genchev House

The residential and commercial building was built in 1920 and the design came from the hand of the Italian architect . The architect was commissioned by the wealthy merchant Stefan Genchev, who was a local residental of Burgas, to design the building. The first floor housed two shops, one of which was converted into a warehouse, while the upper floor was used for residential purposes.

The top corner of the Neo-Baroque building is crowned with a . Underneath it, you'll be able to see a , as well as a circular window that's surrounded by . The building contains four dormers, all of which are crowned with a decorative shell and feature a festoon underneath the window. Underneath the roof , you alternately would be able to admire a strip of , an motif, or . The corbels are embellished with foliage, as well as four . An motif and a are placed above the second floor windows that's supported by two corbels each. You can see some more festoons underneath these windows, which are connected to the window sills. The pilasters that are placed on this same floor, are either adorned with a and , or a decorative shell. Above the first floor windows, you can see another egg-and-dart motif, as well as a straight pediment with underneath it acanthus foliage and a . Almost the same decorations can be seen above the main entrance door. Above this door you can see a curved balcony, which is secured with a wrought iron railing.
