Nedko Kableshkov House

The two-story residential building, which was built in 1923, was built according to a project that was created by the Bulgarian architect Alexander Varbenov. The building was constructed for the Bulgarian lawyer, public figure, donor, and journalist, Nedko Kableshkov, who was born in 1867 in . As a 9-year-old orphan, Nedko Kableshkov studied for a while in his hometown under . Later, with the help of the women's charitable society, he was sent to the Bulgarian-Catholic high school in , where he received a good education. After that, he graduated in law and political science at the University of .

He was an appointed member of the Plovdiv District Court on October 7, 1889, where he became a prosecutor. In the summer of 1895, he started his own legal practice, and shortly after he was elected to the leadership of the collegium. He was a municipal councilor in the period between 1899 and 1901 and was offered the chance to become mayor of Plovdiv, but refused. He develops charitable activities by taking an active part in the life of several charitable societies. He was a lawyer of the Plovdiv Jewish community, their defender and friend, he helped save them in 1943. At his suggestion, after the celebrations, Station Street was renamed Street. He is the author of several notable books, including one that tells the story of the April . Nedko Kableshkov died in 1964, in Plovdiv, at the age of 97.

On the first floor of the building, there was a living room, a kitchen, a closet, utility rooms, and a bathroom with a toilet. The bedrooms of the large family were located on the second floor. Beautiful fireplaces were built in two places in the house, which heated the huge rooms. During the great that took place on April 18, 1928, the building was slightly damaged, only the metal dome fell off the building.

The most distinctive feature of the Eclectic building is the semi-circular , which is supported by -like structures to create a harmonious connection with the wall. On top of the oriel window, you can see a balcony that's covered with a circular and secured with a stone balustrade with a railing on top of it. The balcony, which is located on the northern side of the building, contains a wavy pattern and is harmoniously connected to the wall and secured with a curved wrought iron railing. Underneath the balcony, you can see a curved bay window, and on the western side, you can see another bay window with a on top of it. On the eastern side of the building, you can see another balcony that's covered by an awning, but in this case, the stone balustrade is embellished with . The premises is secured with beautifully decorated wrought iron fencing, which is lavishly adorned with .
