Vittorio Alfieri Italian School

The construction of the three-story building, which was initially built as an educational building, was completed in 1926. It was built to house the Italian School, which was founded in 1883 for the needs of Italians who settled in the city. The high school began to educate students in the month of October 1926 with a program approved by the Ministry of Education, with subjects taught in Italian. By studying the Italian language and culture, the aim is to develop and strengthen the commercial and economic ties of the city with Italy. Tsarina visited the school together with the then-mayor of Plovdiv during her visit to Plovdiv. During the period of socialism, the function of the building changed and it acquired a residential function and was used as a student dormitory.

The attic of the Neo-Renaissance building, which contains two dormers, is separated from the rest of the building by a .
