Doctor Prodanov House

The construction of the residential, which also houses a commercial function on the first floor, took place somewhere at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. The architect who designed the building is unknown, but it was built for a certain Doctor Prodanov. The commercial part was in use by a sausage and delicatessen shop named Torino, which was a popular place among the people of Plovdiv. During its long history, the building also housed a Greek club, where Greek emigrants played songs and danced.

The symmetrical building, which was built in the Art Nouveau and Bulgarian Revival architectural styles, features three with underneath each of them an ornamental scallop shell. The oriel windows are lavishly decorated with with a lovely in their midst, and loads of . The oriel windows are flanked by round-shaped , which are all crowned with an Ionic . Above the pilasters, you can see a adorned with a , which supports the above them. The top floor contains three oval windows containing a , as well as some globes, , and another cartouche.
