Orozdi Bak Trading House

The administrative and commercial building, which was built according to a design of the Czech–Bulgarian architect , was built in several stages that started in 1896 and was completed in 1901. During the construction of the building at the end of the last century, construction materials and technologies from Europe were used. The Prussian vaults of the building are supported by steel supporting beams. This is the first building in Plovdiv that was built with large support distances.

It was built as a trading house owned by the company called Orozdi Bak, which sold it in 1906 to the rich Armenian merchant Sarkis Kuyumjian, who settled in Plovdiv in 1892 due to the repression against the Armenians in . Later he settled in and together with his wife Satenik, they had five children, one of whom is the famous writer , also known as Michael Arlen.

Later it was bought by the Bulgarian National Bank and after the changes and the entry of private financial institutions, it was resold to Hebros Bank.

The building, which consists of two parts that are located on the western and southeastern part of the block, is built in the style of Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Classical. Two different-sized strips of are placed underneath the roof , one of which is adorned with foliage. The that stretch all the way up from the second to the third floor, are crowned with a Corinthian . A pointed is placed above the third floor windows, while above the second floor windows, you'll be able to see a segmental one. These last-mentioned windows are flanked by pilasters that are crowned with an Ionic capital. The western part also features two broken pediments within their midst a lavishly decorated shield-shaped .
