Kolfalchevi Family House

The residential building was built according to the design of the Bulgarian architect Zhelyazko Rashev. Its construction took place between the period of 1925 and 1928 and was built for the Kolfalchevi family. Sometime later, it was inhabited by the head of the Pension Department of the Stara Zagora City Council Ivan Tanev, who is also the grandfather of the storyteller and versatile talent Ivo Tanev.

The most striking part of the modernist and Art Deco building is the on the southwestern corner with a bullet-shaped dome on top of it. On both the southern and the western side of the building, you'll be able to see a top gable with underneath it a semi-hexagonal . The balcony that runs from one oriel window, around the turret, to the other oriel window, is secured with a beautifully decorated wrought iron railing. A strip of is placed underneath the roof , which runs almost around the entire building. The building contains a lot of , all of which are embellished with relief lines. The roof terrace that's placed on top of the extension, is secured with a stone balustrade that contains some pretty unusual .
