Stanyu Panayotov House

The residential and commercial building was built somewhere at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century for the Bulgarian merchant Stanyu Panayotov. It was constructed according to a design that came from the hand of the Bulgarian architect Stefan Karastoychev. In the 1960s, it was in use by the Children's Nursery, and later on, it became in use by the luxury boutique hotel called Otantik Shumen.

The building is built in the Eclectic style but also features some geometric Art Nouveau elements. The most eye-catching part of the building is the bell-shaped dome and lantern tower with a on top of it. Another nice feature is the balcony that's located on the corner, which is secured with a lavishly decorated wrought iron railing that contains . The frames that are placed above the second floor windows are adorned with a and relief lines and circles.
