Konstantin Yosifov House

The residential building was built in 1909 and was designed by the architect . The building was built for the Bulgarian civil engineer, employee of the Italian legation in Sofia, Konstantin Dimitrov Yosifov. He was born in Sofia on August 3, 1893, and is the son of , a stenographer from , and from . He was married to the music and singing teacher , with whom he had two children. He is a graduate of the Vladimir Kiev Cadet Corps, where he spent 11 years of his life, however, due to a serious illness, he gave up his military career.

On a trip to his Viennese relatives, he met , then still an ordinary journalist. The two were in the same compartment on the train from to Vienna, speaking German with each other. Mussolini was impressed and invited Konstantin Yosifov to visit the editorial office of the Il Popolo d'Italia newspaper. The relationship between the two continued throughout Yosifov's studies at the Polytechnic University of Milan.

Engineer Konstantin Yosifov worked for the Italian legation from 1926 to 1945. Its most significant site is the impressive building of the Italian school in Sofia along Tulovo Street, today owned by the Bulgarian National Television. Konstantin Yosifov died on June 30, 1977, in Sofia at the age of 83.

The building was designed in the Art Nouveau style, which can be seen in all the beautiful round shapes and reliefs, that are typical of Art Nouveau. One great example is the circle with reliefs in them and underneath them, located on the upper part of each of the . As well as some of the and the around the windows on the second floor.

There are two entrances that can be seen from the street, one on the northern side and one on the southern side of the building. Both entrances have a with a balcony on top of it. On the south side, you can also see a semi-octagonal bay window that stretches from the first floor all the way up to the second floor. On the third floor, just above the circle top windows, you can admire a beautiful golden yellow arch that resembles the sun.
