Varban Mihailov House

The residential building, which was built in 1910, was constructed by a plan that was created by the Bulgarian architect . It was built for the Bulgarian surgeon Doctor Varban Mihailov, who received his studies in , to house his doctor's office on the first floor, and his family's residence on the second floor. When he moved to , he sold the house to the Bulgarian Doctor Yanaki Yankov. After the , Yankov married Miss Pushkova, who had been waiting for him for 9 years. He participated in the and while he was performing his civic duty, the headquarters of the Soviet military command was housed in his empty office.

On the east side of the Neo-Baroque building, you'll be able to see an , which is crowned with a dome with a on top of it. The oriel window is embellished with a richly decorated and supported by two , which are adorned with . The balcony on the south side, as well as the straight pediment that's placed above the second floor windows, are also supported by two corbels, which in this case are adorned with foliage. Even more corbels can be seen that are placed underneath the roof on the south and east side of the building. On top of the south side, you'll be able to see a that's decorated with yet another richly decorated cartouche. On the same side of the building, you can see two placed above each other, supported by either a square-shaped or a round-shaped columns. The square columns are crowned with a Romanesque and the round columns are crowned with an Ionic one. The stone balustrades that secure both loggias contain the same as the balcony.
