The residential and commercial building was built at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries and was extensively damaged during the in 1949. A reconstruction took place in 1852, which was commissioned by the then the owners Ana and Teodor Petrovicin. At the beginning of the 20th century, the building was bought by the stonemason Stevan Schoeman, who in 1903 ordered a reconstruction. The order for the project was given to the Czech architect , who created the design in his hometown in September 1903.

The frieze of the Neo-Renaissance building, which is located underneath the roof , contains seven air vents that are embellished with a . A pretty unusually shaped can be admired above the second floor windows, as well as the two and a lavishly decorated that contains the letter S. The part underneath these windows contains an , which is decorated with a total of seven , one of which is floral in nature.
