The three-story, which was used for administrative and commercial purposes, was built in the first half of the 19th century. The building was built for the Serbian Orthodox Church and a renovation that took place in 1852, which was executed by a project of the architect Andreas Hanner. In that same year, the building became in use by the Novi Sad Magistrate, which was housed in the building until 1871, and after that, the District Court. After the , it was nationalized, but after the restitution process, it was returned to the previous owners.
The building around 1900
On top of the symmetrical building, which is built in the Neo-Renaissance style with some Neo-Baroque elements, you can see several decorative vases, one of which is placed on top of an open pointed . The part underneath it contains an ornamental shell, multiple , garlands, , and in its midst an icon of . The frieze is in some places lavishly decorated with , as well as even more ornamental shells. A straight pediment is placed above the third floor windows, and underneath them, an is adorned with a total of eight . The open pointed pediments that are placed above the second floor windows contain a richly decorated cartouche and are supported by two embellished with foliage.
