Istvan Winkl Palace

The construction of the three-story residential and commercial building started in 1906 and was completed in 1907. The construction of the building, which was commissioned by Istvan Winkl, was carried out by a project that came from the hand of the architect Karolje Kovač. The building houses a number of shops on the first floor, while some spacious and luxurious apartments are located on the upper floors. Later on, it became the house of the Theater Museum of Vojvodina, which was founded on May 6, 1982.

On top of the symmetrical building, which is built in the styles of Art Nouveau and Neo-Baroque, you can admire three clover-shaped dormers and a balustrade that connects these dormers. The ornamentation under the consists of , , , and garlands. In addition to the building being decorated with floral ornamentation, it is also richly embellished with all kinds of geometric shapes.
