Chamber House

The construction of the two-story administrative building, which was built by an unknown architect, was built somewhere at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century, most likely somewhere around 1900. The building was built as a Chamber house or a customs house, which was intended to house the families of some of the high-ranking officials. Later it became known as the Cadastre, and even later it became in use by the Republic Geodetic Authority. During the , Serbia was bombed many times by Allied air raids, one of the bombs hit the corner of the building, severely damaging that part of the building.

The corner of the building, which is built in the Historicism style with some Neo-Baroque influences, features an , which is topped with a beautiful dome that's crowned with a lantern tower and a . The four large dormers that are located at this same height, are all adorned with , a , and topped with a that contains a that's placed within a decorative shell. The roof is embellished with , which in there turn are embellished with foliage, which also counts for the that are placed within the frieze. Between these corbels, you can see an motif, and either a circular window or a . Either an open pointed or a segmental pediment is placed above the second floor windows, which either contain a or a statue of an angel. The corbels that support the segmental pediment are adorned with a predicting a , while the ones that support the pointed pediment are adorned with , which is an ornament that is also used elsewhere. The that are placed underneath the second floor windows are adorned with floral and geometric ornamentation. The yellow and red bricks are placed in such a way that they form a beautiful diamond pattern.
