Trade And Crafts Bank

The construction of the two-story building, which was built with administrative and commercial purposes, started in 1887 and was completed in 1888. It was built for the Trade And Crafts Bank, which commissioned the creation of the design to the Hungarian architect Leopold Decer. The bank was founded in in 1871 by a wealthy local merchant and businessman Sima Bikar, who was also its first president. After the closure of the Trade And Crafts Bank, the building became in use by the Hungarian Agrarian Savings Bank, and from 1911, the building was bought by the Serbian Church Singing Troupe from Sombor, which was founded in 1870. Later on, the building changed tenants a couple of more times, including the City Cultural and Artistic Society called Ravangrad, as well as a branch of the Circle of Serbian Sisters.

On top of the building, which is built in the styles of Neo-Renaissance and Neo-Baroque, you can several , three , and an ornamental beehives that symbolize frugality. Directly underneath all of these ornaments, you can see a , which is adorned with . The second floor windows, which are topped with a adorned with foliage, are flanked by that are crowned with a Corinthian . Either a or a balcony can be seen underneath these windows. The balustrade that secures the balcony, which is supported by three massive , contains the as the balconets.
