Jaša Lalošević House

- Kralja Petra I 9 -
The construction of the two-story building, which was built with a residential and commercial function, took place somewhere around 1860. The buildings of the merchant Dimitrije Riđički and Mihail Maširević, which were built in 1844 and bought by Todor Poparić used to stand on this plot. Both buildings were respectively bought in 1853 and 1859, by the wealthy man from Sombor, Jovan Lalošević. Jovan Lalošević was married to Jelisaveta, the daughter of Vasilij Kovačić, and from this marriage was born Jakov Jaša Lalošević. He was born in 1845 and became a landowner, who not only inherited his father's estate, but also a significant part of his uncle Vladimir Kovačić's estate. In 1895, he was the best man at the wedding of Laza Kostić and Juliana Palanačka, and he entered the famous tambura song called Kad se ženi Kostić Laka. In 1899, he was present at the marriage of his daughter Jelka to Karolj Semze, the son of Janoš Semze, an equally rich and respectable Hungarian of German origin.
