Kosta Grgurov House

The construction of the two-story building, which houses commercial premises on the first floor and residential premises on the second floor, took placed in 1866. The building was built according to a design of the local architect Milan Grgurov for the Falcione family, and was bought in 1921 by the local doctor, Doctor Kosta Grgurov. The store of Henrik Oblat was once located on the first floor, at the beginning of the 20th century. Later on, the barbershop of Andrija Kumerkramer, who was the first among the barbers in Sombor to use an electric clipper, was located here. In the 1920s, the first women's hairdressing salon in Sombor called with curls was located in this place. During that same time, Nikola Radojević and Ilija Galac ran a haberdashery shop, and when they split up in 1929, Ilija Galac continued to run his independent shop here.
