Gustav Frombah House

The residential and commercial building was built somewhere between 1879 and 1880. It was built for the director of the savings bank, Gustav Frombah, who bought the old one-story house from the descendants of Teodor Miletić and built the present building in its place.

The frieze of the building, which is built in the styles of Neo-Baroque and Art Nouveau, you can alternately see a plastered fragment that's adorned with floral ornamentation or a cast iron fragment, which is decorated with floral motifs. Above the second floor windows, you can admire a straight , which is supported by two . The fragments between these corbels, or above one of the pediments, either contain a , a decoration with a representation of the Greek god entwined with vines, or a garland wreath surrounded by ribbons. Underneath four of the windows, you can see a fragment, which is embellished with geometric forms. Underneath the other window, you can see a balcony that's supported by two simplified corbels and secured with a cast iron railing. The small , which is located above the wooden main entrance door and is surrounded by two fragments that are beautifully decorated with floral ornamentation, contains the old house number 613.
