Pejić Family House

- Kralja Aleksandra I Karađorđevića 37 -
The original residential and commercial building was constructed somewhere in the first half of the 19th century for the Pejić family. In 1910, the house was bought by the Jewish entrepreneur Mihalj Goldberg, who originally came from Poland. In 1898, he had already opened a watchmaker shop in Veliki Bečkerek, nowadays Zrenjanin. In 1914 he carried out certain renovations and reshaping of the facade, according to the design of the local construction master Hof Nandor. He sold the building in the 1920s and moved to another place in Zrenjanin until the arrival of the fascists, who shot him in in 1941. The building was bought in the 1920s by Čede Udicki, who lived there until the nationalization in 1959.

The roof on the southern side of the Art Nouveau building contains a total of two small dormers. A bit further down, you can admire five beautiful decorative vases. Around the second floor windows, you'll be able to see many square and circular forms, as well as relief lines.
