Napholc-Barth Company Building

The administrative building was built by the Veliko Bečkerec Insurance and Deposit Company called Napholc-Barth in 1886 according to the project of the city engineer . From 1914, the Torontál Agrarian Bank became the owner of the building, and in 1925, the trading company that was called Jakšic-Ambrozi of Franja Jaksic and Teodor Ambrosi became the owner.

The famous lawyer, art lover, patron, and collector Doctor Viktor Gyenes also lived and had an office in the building. He was born in 1880 in , as Viktor Braun, to his father Leopold, and at the age of three, he moved to Veliki Bečkerek, nowadays Zrenjanin. From 1925, he became a member of the management of the Trgovačko Joint Stock Company. He, as one of the most respected Jews in the city, was among the first to be targeted by the Germans on April 14, 1941. He died before deportation in 1941 in a camp in the former barracks, after the guards beat him to death. His body was hanged to look like suicide.

The red bricks and white sandstone and plaster that are used on the facade of the building, which is built in the styles of Neo-Baroque and Neo-Renaissance, give it a beautiful appearance. A , which contains a total of six each, is placed underneath the windows that are crowned with a pointed pediment. Above the wooden main entrance door, which contains two barred windows, you can see a broken pointed pediment with in its midst a beehive that symbolizes frugality. The door is surrounded by two garland wreaths, as well as two that are crowned with an Ionic .
