Slavko Županski House

The residential building was built in 1920 and was built according to a design of the Serbian architect . It was built for the Serbian lawyer and politician Slavko Županski, who was born in 1880 in . After finishing high school, he entered the Faculty of Law in and after completing his studies and obtaining his doctorate, he moved to Veliki Bečkerek, nowadays Zrenjanin. There he opened a law office and became involved in the work of Serbian national and social organizations.

Immediately after the Austro-Hungarian declaration of war on Serbia in 1914, he was arrested by the Austro-Hungarian authorities and placed in custody in . He was sent to the front with the remark that it would be desirable that he would not return. In order to avoid fighting against the Serbs, he injured himself and was sent to the hospital. When he was released towards the very end of the war, he returned to Veliki Bečkerek. He became the chairman of the District Committee of the Radical Party and a member of many national associations. He was married to Anica Brašovan, who is the sister of the architect who designed the house of Slavko Županski. Slavko Županski died in Zrenjanin in 1959 and was buried at the Tomasevac cemetery.

The lovely framed rectangulars above the windows are decorated with a , as well as two .
